J.K. Rowling has had to deal with a load of Harry Potter fans coming up with MIND BLOWING theories and finding plot holes over the years.
And quite frankly she's dealt with them masterfully.
It's no secret J.K. knows her way around a Twitter feed, and her quick-witted replies deserve some sort of social media award, NGL.
This time one fan has potentially found a Harry Potter plot hole that relates to the latest film about the wizarding world, Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them.
Remember in Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix, Dumbledore asks Snape to teach Harry the art of Occlumency (basically closing your mind) to help him keep Lord Voldemort from getting into his head (figuratively and literally)?
Well this was because Snape was a skilled Legilimens, meaning he could enter people's minds. Although he made a point to mention to Harry that the "mind isn’t a book to read at leisure".
But, if you've seen Fantastic Beasts, you'll know Queenie also practises Legilimency (it's not explicity said, but we ALL know that's what it is), and appears to do so with great ease.
One fan was keen to put this little discrepancy to the woman behind it all and wrote: "@jk_rowling Snape says the mind isn't a book to read at leisure. But Queenie seemed to do just that. Love to know more about Legilimency."
So J.K. being the LEGEND she is absolutely handled this like a pro and replied: "Snape had to train a slight natural ability. Queenie was born with a great talent, though she's not infallible."
