The only thing more idiotic than having a bigoted opinion on sexual orientation is waltzing into the Celebrity Big Brother house and talking about it.
But it appeared Renee Graziano and Christopher Biggins failed to get both these memos, as they decided to voice the outrageous opinion that bisexuality doesn't exist.
Errr….
While she was discussing sexuality with Frankie Grande, Biggins asked Renee: "Do you have a problem with gay people?" to which she replied that she didn't.
She said: "When you're gay you're gay. And I think it's beautiful because I think it's who you are and it's natural."
All well and good, eh?
But then she continued.
"But I think today in society they kind of force things on people and they confuse you."
Biggins agreed, adding that he felt some people claiming to be LGBT were trying to be "trendy". Renee then said: "If you're gay, you know it!"
We'd have thought Biggins would be one of the last in the house to come out with the following words, but he completely shocked us with: "I think the worst type though is, I'm afraid to say, the bisexuals. What it is, is people not wanting to admit they are gay."
Seriously, Biggins?
Renee then said: "That upsets me. You have to pick a team."
Lovely of you to tell the population what they "have" to do with their lives, Renee. We're sure bisexuals all over the country (including your CBB housemate Marnie Simpson) will be "picking a team" because they've upset you.
Viewers were left suitably alarmed by the exchange. One wrote: "Biphobia is unacceptable. I have written to @onebiggins asking him to apologise or resign as Patron of @LGBToryUK #CBB," and another: "biggins being biphobic is making my skin crawl. Biphobia from within the lgbtq+ community is the most damaging kind."
