Mean Girls sequel

It's no secret that Lindsay Lohan has been campaigning for a Mean Girls sequel (let's just pretend the utter shite that was Mean Girls 2 never happened, shall we?) for quite some time now.

Last year she revealed she had been 'trying so hard' to get a Mean Girls 2 rolling but was met with a few obstacles. Speaking on a Facebook live chat, she explained: "It is not in my hands.

"I know Tine Fey and [script writer] Lorne Michaels are very busy. I will keep forcing them and pushing them until we do it."

So, you're 'a pusher' Lindsay? You 'push people'? Thought so.

Lindsay had also been throwing some MAJOR hints at a Mean Girls reunion when she Facetimed actual Aaron Samuels AKA actor Jonathan Bennett (who's hair did look sexy pushed back, FYI), and posed with Gretchen and Regina (Lacey Chabert and Rachel McCadams) for a photoshoot.

BUT Rachel then threw a massive spanner in the works and basically told Lindsay to stop trying to make a Mean Girls 2 happen.

A source told heat: "The last thing she wants is for her name to be back in the headlines next to a desperado like Lindsay. It’s an awkward situation because Lilo still thinks she’s the big star from that movie. Rachel’s told her reps a sequel never going to happen."

Boooo, you whore. (Not actually calling Rachel McAdams a whore, she's lovely, it's a Mean Girls reference which you 100000% should already know, soz).

BUT Lindsay clearly didn’t get the memo as she has revealed she's come up with a plot for the sequel.

Mean Girls sequel

Speaking to Mail Online, Lindsay said: "Mean Girls 2 would be great. It's something I've always [been] interested in doing, it has such a great cult following, it would be wonderful to do something else.

"All of us should have kids, like a Housewives of... And all my kids are from Africa. We've adopted them or something funny."

Mean Mums. Yep. We could get on board with that.

There's been no comment on what the rest of the gang feel about LiLo's proposal, but in the meantime Tiny Fey is busy working on the Mean Girls musical.

And apparently it's well on its way, with a premier date set for autumn 2017

According to Cosmopolitan: "Song titles for the show include: 'She Doesn't Even Go Here', 'You Can't Sit With Us' and 'On Wednesdays We Wear Pink."

Can we get a YAAAAAAAAAAS?
