Did the right couple win Love Island 2016? Twitter reacts

That moment with the £50,000 was a bit #AWKS though

THIS CONTAINS SPOILERS FROM LAST NIGHT'S EPISODE because of course it does.

*Love Island *came to a glittering conclusion last night after six weeks on our screens.

Six weeks! It's a good job it's mostly been raining in the evenings otherwise we'd have to have a word with ourselves about what we're doing with our lives.

Anyway, Nathan Massey and Cara De La Hoyde won with a whopping 54% of the vote, which is pretty incredible.

We predicted that they would win, because they were basically the least worst couple left. But were others pleased with the result?

Olivia Buckland, who came in second place with Alex Bowen, was suitably congratulatory:

Alex was a bit more subdued:

Katie Salmon, who rocked a very respectable fourth place with Adam Maxted considering when she entered the show, was gracious in defeat and said:

Our *Love Island *darling, Sophie Gradon, seemed shocked that Scott Thomas and Kady McDermott, only came in third:

But was happy with the eventual winners:

Malin Andersson was pleased:

As was Zara Holland:

In fact, boringly, every cast member seemed happy for them. COME ON, GUYS. GIVE US A TWITTER SPAT PLEASE.

So, was anyone not pleased with the result?

Vicky Pattison seemed shocked that Scott and Kady didn't do better:

But otherwise most people reserved their ire for the CRINGE staging of the finale, that was set up as what Caroline Flack described as a "rave" making us suspect that Caroline has never been to a rave.

We still can't believe we weren't invited to the finale though. We write about *Love Island *THREE TIMES A DAY (conservative estimate). What more do they want from us?

Did you know, Love Island isn't over? It isn't. Yippee!
