Love Island ISN’T over: calm down everyone

Yippee!

Love Island Kady

Last night was a bittersweet one for fans of Love Island.

The show came to a conclusion after six glorious weeks on our telly boxes, with Nathan Massey and Cara De La Hoyde crowned the winners with a whopping 54% of the vote.

Out of four couples, that's pretty darn impressive.

The show itself was a trifle… dull TBH and we kind of wish that Cara had swiped the cash at the end, just for LOLS, but we are still devvo that it's done.

But it's not done! It's coming back! This Sunday!

Love Island: Heading Home follows the contestants as they return to the UK, including when they are all reunited for the first time at the series wrap party.

OMGerd.

Here are things we would like to see:

Sophie Gradon, our Love Island bae, being crowned queen of the villa both for that inspirational speech about Zara Holland and as compensation for being sort of pushed out of the villa by Terry Walsh and Emma-Jane Woodhams and then Katie Salmon turning people against her.

Adam Maxted loosening up.

Javi Shephard. Just Javi Shephard please. He is the prince of our hearts.

What ITV2 are promising us is: "What happened when Rykard [Jenkins] found himself questioned on his evening with Olivia [Buckland]…by Rachel [Fenton]’s mother.

"How did Malin [Andersson] really react when she saw Terry getting cosy with Emma for the first time?

"And what did Tom [Powell] say when he watched Sophie and Katie getting close? Plus, what did Tom’s grandparents have to say about his racy wardrobe antics with Sophie?"

Hopefully that will be more interesting than the tedious episode when everyone's parents came in.

And Sunday's show isn't the end of the good Love Island news. The show's back next year! And they're looking for applicants.

Excuse us, we're just going out shopping for a neon cut-out bikini and a feisty attitude.

Love Island: Heading Home is on Sunday 17 July at 9pm on ITV2.
