Usually when you start a new relationship it takes a while before you're ready to meet the parents. It's often over some awkward AF dinner or maybe even a carefully planned day out on neutral ground to avoid as many opportunities for underhand passive aggression as possible.

Even further in the future when starting up a new romance is the prospect of you and your partner's parents meeting for the first time.

Will they get on? Will they swap embarrassing stories about that time you ran around naked in neighbour's garden covered in an unsavoury amount of chocolate ice-cream (as a kid, obviously…)? It could all go horribly wrong.

Well seeing as the Love Island couples seem to have skipped about 41841441 steps when it comes to relationship norms, it’s no surprise that Gabby Allen and Marcel Somerville's mums have already met.

They've been bf and gf for approx. 5 minutes but their mums are already busy nattering away together. They appeared alongside Chris Hughes' mum as they joined Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on This Morning to share their thoughts' on their offsprings' Love Island journeys.

Chatting on the sofa, Marcel's mum Corleta Somerville revealed she had absolutely no idea her son had been so, erm, successful with the ladies (he's apparently bedded between 200 and 300 women!!!).

"That kind of came as a bit of a shock to me, the number," she explained."200, wow!"

Phil then joked: "How big is your house?"

To which Corleta replied: "Luckily, he didn't bring them all to the house.

"He's been very respectful to the house."

Ever the gentleman, eh?

Holly then introduced Gabby's mum Paula as "the mother-in-law" and the two ladies revealed they're getting on great.

N'awww.

"They're really natural together, and nice," speaking about Gabby and Marcel's ADORBZ relationship.

Chris' mum Val also had a few words to say about her son's exploits.

"What you're seeing now is the real Chris. He's funny, he's very loyal, caring and quite endearing in his own way," she explained.

CUTE.

Val also spilled the beans on what she really thinks about Chris' relationship with Olivia Attwood.

"I think they complement each other, in a way," she said.

Hmm. Not sounding too convinced there, Val bbz…
