Geordie Shore's Marnie Simpson has reacted to her former squeeze appearing on Love Island.

And, it's fair to say, she's far from happy about it.

Marns seems to feel that Troy Frith has used his former relationship with her to help him carve out a slice of fame, and tweeted:

In fairness to Marns, Troy's bio – sent around before he entered the show – did sell his "love triangle with two girls from Geordie Shore and Ex On The Beach" as one of his major points of interest.

When we spoke to Troy he was coy about naming names but we worked out it was Marnie because we know how to use Google and we have eyes.

Marnie has now sent an even harsher tweet, saying:

Could this be based on seeing Troy in the villa? She must be watching the show, right?

EVERYONE IS.

However, Marnie's pointed tweet could also be directed towards Chantelle Connelly who has quit the show in a blaze of glory, well and truly burning her bridges on the way out.

"I wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire," she said, speaking of Gary Beadle, Marty McKenna and – Marnie's particular friend – Chloe Ferry.

But if Marnie is hoping to see the back of Troy on *Love Island *she's going to be sorely disappointed. He has immunity from tonight's double eviction, along with the woman he chooses to couple up with.

Which is just as well for Troy: he hasn't made himself hugely popular so far.

And when we spoke to him he did come across as a bit of a douche.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
