This year Love Island has undoubtedly been the absolute king of all reality TV. It was recently revealed that the show was absolutely smashing Big Brother in the ratings battle.

According to reports, Big Brother apparently hit a new ratings low on Saturday 1st July with just 800,000 viewers; fewer than BBC's old fave Casualty. While no new episode of Love Island was aired that night, it's said to be bringing in 'millions' of viewers each night.

Last Friday 30th June 1.8 million people (a record high) reportedly tuned in to see the islanders compared to 700,000 flicking their tellyboxes to Channel 5.

Uh oh.

Now Big Brother bosses have spoken out at their big plans to win back viewers and it looks like things could be getting pretty HOT.

Yep. There's talk of moving BB abroad in order to compete all the fun-in-the-sun antics on Love Island.

Speaking to The Daily Star, Endemol's chief creative officer revealed they’re not 'ruling anything out' when it comes to moving the show abroad.

"I think Love Island has been sensational," they said.

"If Big Brother is not on top form, we have to keep changing it. You have got to get at it creatively to think what its next manifestation will be."

When questioned about taking the show overseas, they added: " Listen, we should not rule anything out."

INTERESTING.
