Spoiler: Not actually that much tbh
Whenever we think we'd actually like to be on the other side of the camera and appear on Love Island as contestants, one thing stops us in our tracks. HOW COULD WE LIVE WITHOUT OUR PHONES?
Obviously the islanders have their HTC handsets (and their snazzy persoanlised cases) on-hand in the villa, but they're banned from using the likes of Snapchat and WhatsApp in favour of the island's tailor-made messenger system thingy.
So what exactly can the Love Island lot do on said handsets and are they as shite as 2016 contestant Alex Bowen made out recently?
Speaking to OK! Online, the island's first evictee Harley Judge revealed: "You’ve got the camera, so there will be photos taken on the phones.
"We have an island chat where we can talk amongst the islanders and then Love Island can contact you so any big event in the villa you receive by text.
"You keep the phone on you at all times except for charging it, some people are better at it than others because when you’re in there you’re not thinking about your phones. And you can put it down somewhere and forget where it is and spend all day looking for it.
"I wasn’t using mine too much I think there are some pictures on it. I think I sent Amber a wink face."
Harley added: "I didn’t message anyone on the island chat, I think a few of the lads were just having a bit of banter over text. Nothing more than that. No one went on each others phones, it wasn’t something major in there."
So there you go. No funny business, just the odd emoticon and a couple of selfies that may never see the light of day. Shame.
