As you're probably aware, Love Island 2017's very much over and LIFE IS EMPTY. Nothing can fill the void. We essentially want to go into hibernation. Until the winter version or 2018 series, at least.

With 2018 applications already open, we're pretty tempted to put ourselves forward for the show. Let's face it; even if we don't find the love of our lives we're not gonna turn our noses up at a seven-week jolly.

So what would Gabrielle Allen and Marcel Somerville - aka love's actual young dream - advice we do to get on the tellybox next year, eh?

We caught up with the pair of 'em at last weekend's Fusion Festival, and as well as confirming the infamous lie detector's FAKE (shock horror) they offered some top tips for future Love Island applicants.

Marcel said: "You've just got to have a little bit about you. If you're boring and know you're boring, don't apply," with Gabby adding "You just have to be yourself.

"It's also how they puzzle everyone together. There's so many people that get told that they're going on it and then they don't because it's all about timing, bombshell-wise."

Watch our chat with Gabby and Marcel below, if you fancy your chances:
