Last week we were genuinely shocked to bring you the news that Pete Wicks from TOWIE had been text cheating on his girlfriend Megan McKenna, also of TOWIE.
He's a braver man than us.
And what is wrong with the men of The Only Way Is Essex? We can't think of a single one who hasn't been involved in a cheating scandal, other than Tommy Mallett. They can't all be making bids for more airtime, can they? CAN THEY?
Anyway.
Megan said that she knew about the messages and she and Pete had worked through their issues two weeks before the story broke, when the other woman involved, Jacqui Ryland – who dated Pete at the start of the year, told her story to The Sun.
In an emotional Snapchat, Megan talked about the news appearing in the 'paper, and said: "But then like, today, for some girl to sell a story about it, and for me to see messages that I hadn’t seen before. That f*cking hurts.
"(Jacqui had) obviously seen that me and him were trying to move on and obviously he’s bought me nice things and I put it on Instagram and Twitter and its rubbed her up the wrong way…
"I just wish none of this had happened really. Life’s a c*nt. Everything happens for a reason."
Jacqui has remained fairly quiet on the subject (other than telling her story in a national 'paper, obvs) but yesterday tweeted this furious message.
She could be taking the piss, of course.
Have Megan and Pete broken up over Pete's sexting? Megan's deleted all traces of Pete's face from her Instagram account, although his wrist – wearing a matching Rolex to Megan's - remains.
