If you've been waaaaaay too busy to catch up on all the daily celeb news, you might have missed the brand new Geordie Shore announcement that took us all by surprise this morning.

Whilst we've written a lot of icky articles about Geordie Shore in our time, we didn't think we would ever be announcing that GAZ BEADLE IS PREGNANT.

Of course, he hasn't defied the laws of human biology – Gary instead posed with a photo shopped bump as part of some 'tongue-in-cheek' promo to introduce EIGHT new Geordie Shore housemates that have joined the show as part of Geordie Shore: New Radgie Rampage.

The new series will see seasoned regulars Gaz Beadle, Marnie Simpson, Sophie Kasaei, Chloe Ferry, Aaron Chalmers, Nathan Henry and Marty McKenna joined by Abbie Holborn, Billy Philips, Chelsea Barber, Elettra Lamborghini, Eve Shannon, Sam Bentham, Sarah Goodhart and Zahida Allen.

Despite many fans hailing the promo as 'amazing' and 'fucking hilarious', some have described the advert as disrespectful to Geordie Shore original Charlotte Crosby.

After five years on the show, Charlotte chose to quit Geordie Shore in June last year - following the news of her traumatic ectopic pregnancy.

"I am hugely sad and it kills me to write this, I will miss Geordie shore with all of my heart, it was my life and I you [love] you all so much," she tweeted at the time.

The 26-year-old emotionally revealed to heat last May that she suffered a tragic ectopic pregnancy after falling pregnant with Gary's child.

Despite believing that they were still together, Charlotte went through the ordeal alone as Gary was away filming in Thailand for Ex On The Beach and was rushed to hospital for an emergency operation to remove her damaged fallopian tube.

"[The doctor] put me in a wheelchair and I collapsed out of it. I was fitting on the floor and it was just so scary," she told us.

"I didn't know what the hell was going on and I was in so much pain. Then the X-ray showed how much damage had been caused. Because I'd left it a week, it'd torn open my fallopian tube and I was bleeding internally. He said: 'If you'd have left it any longer, you could have died.'"

And now Charlotte's fans and loyal supporters have described the advert as 'bad taste' - especially as it's Gary who pretends to give birth - and they took to social media to voice their disgust.

One fan wrote: "Bit insensitive Gaz!!"

Whilst another messages from fans read: "Wow! I feel sorry for Charlotte! This is so bad."

"So strange they went with Gary giving birth for the new trailer after what happened with him and Charlotte and their pregnancy loss bit insensitive I think [sic]"

"Ugh, such poor taste... poor Charlotte."

A spokesperson for MTV responded to the criticism, revealing to Mail Online that the advert 'bears no significance or connection to any of the cast’s private lives'.

They said: "MTV is well known for its entertaining and creative promotions around its programming. The promo for the upcoming series of Geordie Shore is designed to introduce our audience to some of the show’s new characters. It bears no significance or connection to any of the cast’s private lives."

What do you think? Do you think the new Geordie Shore advert is in bad taste?
