The fact that there's going to be an actual Love Actually sequel for Red Nose Day this March was the best thing we'd heard since we got wind of little baby Chiam. And the fact that director Emma Freud keeps sharing spoilers and pictures of filming just makes the whole thing even more exciting.

The latest glimpse into the short film she shared was the news that Martine McCutcheon and Hugh Grant's characters (Natalie and the Prime Minister) are MARRIED.

AHHHHH <3.

She shared a series of photographs of the pair filming, which you can see below.

In other Love Actually news, Emma Thompson revealed the sad reason she wouldn't be in the sequel, telling PA it was too soon after the death of co-star Alan Rickman.

"It's too soon. It's absolutely right because it's supposed to be for Comic Relief but there isn't much comic relief in the loss of our dear friend really only just over a year ago.

"We thought and thought but it just seemed wrong but to revisit the wonderful fun characters of Bill Nighy and Hugh Grant and Liam (Neeson) and all of that, that's fantastic but obviously what would he have done?"

Writer and director Richard Curtis also recently described how it would be complicated to deal with Alan's death in the film, and admitted that there wasn't time to look into all characters' lives.

"You know dealing with Alan is very complicated so not really," he told PA. "We're not doing everyone. We're doing about two thirds of people."

Red Nose Actually will feature Hugh Grant, Martine McCutcheon, Keira Knightley, Andrew Lincoln, Colin Firth, Lucia Moniz, Liam Neeson, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Olivia Olson, Bill Nighy, Marcus Brigstocke, and Rowan Atkinson.

It will be shown as part of Red Nose Day 2017, Friday 24th March on BBC One.
