Ant and Dec SM:TV reunion

We love a bit of childhood nostalgia here at heat hq and the '90s was just peak everything, was it not?

The Spice Girls took over the world, we devoted 80% of our time looking after our beloved Tamagotchis and it was socially acceptable for boys to sport frosted blonde tips.

The 90s were also the decade of children's telly. Yep, our Saturday mornings were devoted to celebrity phone-ins, competitions, cartoons, a copious amount of gunge and trying to choose between SM and Live and Kicking.

The struggle really was real.

And twenty years on (cries), SM hosts Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly (remember them?) have now OFFICIALLY confirmed that the much-loved show will be making a comeback next year – to mark it's 20th Anniversary.

Ant and Dec SM:TV reunion

Speaking at the BAFTAs, they said: "ITV have just agreed, It’s going to go ahead and it’ll be in August 2018, 20 years after it aired."

"They are onboard now, and we have had our first discussions about it, and it looks like it is going to go ahead."

Yaaaaaaas.

Rumours of an SM reunion have been rife since Cat Deeley appeared on Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Take Away in Florida, where she appeared on stage with her former presenting partners and dicussed the possiblity of a reunion.

"Would we be rubbish now?" Cat teased and Dec then joked: "We were rubbish then!"

And after that, Cat proclaimed: "Ok let’s do it!"

Bring on 2018.
