Many strange things happened during last night’s Celebrity Big Brother launch - from YouTube sensation Trisha Paytas looking like a human Barbie in a pink tutu to actor Shaun Williamson, aka Barry from EastEnders, asking star of American show The Bachelorette Chad Johnson to stroke him on the chin.
But self-described psychic medium Derek Acorah’s entry into the house prompted some weird goings on.
After saying he believed spirits would be living amongst the famous contestants in the reality show house, a member of the launch night crowd bizarrely heckled him, yelling: “Mary loves dick!”

However, these words may not come as a surprise to fans of Derek’s former Living TV show Most Haunted - he once got possessed by a spirit who made him say that exact phrase.
During a visit to an old pub, he can be seen telling co-host Yvette Fielding about the paranormal activity in the building.
As he explains that someone by the name of Robert and Mary are present, he acts as if his body is taken over by a ghostly entity, which seemingly cheekily makes him shout: “MARY LOVES DICK! MARY LOVES DICK!” (Tee hee!)
He continues: “Mary loves dick,” when he perhaps realises exactly what he’s saying, before clarifying the name: “Richard.”
Possibly in a bid to make himself stop laughing he grunts and grumbles, before the spirit utters the words through his mouth: “Don’t say all those things about him.”
After he comes round, Derek then says: “Just for a moment, an energy came in, and there’s annoyance, a nice lady, but I feel as if she’s got this great love, for dick! For dick! Great love, you know.” Pa ha ha ha!
Clearly unable to believe what she’s hearing, Yvette’s hand shoots up to her face as she attempts to hide her smile while Derek, somewhat strangely and not helping the situation, tells Yvette that Mary covers Dick up.
All of a sudden someone called Betty is involved in this great cover up of Dick according to Derek, by which time Yvette has managed to calm herself down and move her hand away from her mouth.
The group then stop filming and a member of the crew can be heard saying “that’s fantastic” before Yvette bursts into laughter, yelling : “The best bit of that was Mary loves Dick. F&%k me! I could not stop laughing. And she protects him, she protects him, she covers him up!”
Having a giggle himself, Derek says: “Well, I don’t know!”, and Derek insists it wasn’t down to him when someone in the background asks if it was intentional.
Who knows what Derek is going to shout out next in the Celebrity Big Brother house…
