This year's X Factor has had a right old shake up. Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzingerhave all returned to the judging panel and now the latest X Factor gossip is that Matt Edmondson will be the NEW Xtra Factor presenter.

The 30-year-old curly-top has replaced last year's Xtra Factor hosts Rochelle Humes and Melvin Odoom.

Can you remember back in 2011 when Matt presented The X Factor's online spin-off show Fan Factor? Well now he's back, presenting alone and LIVE for the very first time. Yeah, this year the Xtra Factor will be live from the very first week.

If you've ever watched The Xtra Factor you'll know that usually it's pre-recorded until the live shows but Simon Cowell has changed everything around so when the new series starts in August we'll be seeing live interviews with contestants and reactions from celebrity guests on the show. Plus viewers' reactions to the auditions through social media.

We shouldn't be surprised with the change though, as both Caroline Flack and Olly Murs quit The X Factor last yearand were replaced by Dermot O'Leary.

Matt quoted The X Factor's announcement on Twitter and wrote: "So, this is happening".

When talking about his new job Matt said: "I am unbelievably excited about joining The Xtra Factor this year, not least of all because on my first day Louis Walsh walked into my dressing room topless, unannounced.

"I regard this as the definition of 'living the dream'".

A spokesperson for Syco praised Matt, saying: "Matt is the perfect Xtra Factor host; he brings with him a cheeky and warm humour, not to mention being an accomplished presenter on radio and television.

"He will bring plenty of fun to what will be an entirely new Xtra Factor."

We can't wait to watch you (again), Matt!
