In news that we're sure wasn't a deciding factor at all in them getting through to the live shows, The X Factor contestants Ryan Lawrie and Emily Middlemas are in a relationship.

And they're kinda cute.

They're both in the show as solo acts (Emily in the girls' category and Ryan in the boys’ – obviously), and they've apparently been an item for a year.

But unlike The X Factor launch party, which was said to be some kind of horrible mega orgy, the contestants’ house will be relatively sex free (possibly).

Ryan said: "It's our first time living together so it's definitely fast-forward our relationship.

"I'm happy we'll go through the experience together and help each other through any tough moments," he continued to OK magazine.

"We're not allowed to share a room though."

The two are currently displaying their love all over social media (sweet), tweeting things like: I AM THE PROUDEST GIRLFRIEND IN THE UNIVERSE. We are actually in live shows together! 'ARE YOU SERIOUS?!' I love you" and "FINALLY REUNITED WITH @emilymiddlemas_ BEST NIGHT IN A LONG TIME!!!"

We like their use of capitals.

The two join the likes of Honey G AKA the next Jay Z AKA the best thing to happen to television ever in the live shows, which kick off next weekend.

IN OTHER X FACTOR NEWS, Louis Tomlinson's 100%-real-life-biological-from-the-same-womb (not actually related to him in any way at all) twin has apparently been lying about his X Factor sob story.

He moved us all (and even made Calvin Harris almost CRY at Judges’ Houses) by his story about being dumped by his girlfriend before the show, but it may not have been true.

Speaking on Lorraine, The Sun's Dan Wootton said: "You know how he keeps going on about his sob story of the girlfriend, well, I can reveal it’s all a bit of a porkie pie. He’s back living with the girl Jasmin Avis.

"So it’s served him very well. But all I would say is Matt, you know what, you have enough talent to get through without that!"

But Matt has HIT BACK against the claims, telling Metro online: "My ex and I split amicably and are still friends but we’re not in a relationship."

It would be a pretty bloody risky lie if you ask us.
