If anyone is going to have inside information on The X Factor it’s going to be former winners like Little Mix.

And the girlband seem to think they have some dirt on current contestant Honey G.

The London-based rapper left viewers baffled after managing to make it through to the live finals of the show with thousands of viewers signing a petition in a bid to get her booted off the programme.

And some people even think she’s catfishing producers and that she’s taking part as a joke.

The Little Mix girls, who won the talent competition back in 2011, claim a source has told them Honey is an actress and her appearance is just a big prank.

Band member Jade Thirlwall told The Sun: "I think it’s a joke. I don’t believe she’s real. She’s blatantly an actress. Let’s just say, I’ve heard she’s an actress."

She added to radio station Kiss FM: "She’s just, no. I think she’s an actress, I’ve been told she is as well."

And the girls don’t seem to be too impressed Honey and other 'novelty acts' are in the final rounds of the show as they’d like to see talent take part over entertainment.

Leigh-Anne Pinnock said: "I’m all for entertainment, but I’m also for real talent as well."

Honey is part of the Over 25s category and was brought back into the competition as a wildcard entry after being kicked out of the contest during the Six Chair Challenge.

She replaced singer Ivy Grace who could not travel to judge Sharon Osbourne’s home in Los Angeles due to visa issues.

Prior to her appearance on The X Factor, Honey was working as a recruitment consultant and gave herself a "complete personality transplant" before auditioning, according to The Sun Online.

A source told the website that she is "very well spoken" and "smart", and "comes from a decent background".

Her friend, Stephanie Jones who attended Salford University with the aspiring urban artist, said Honey is a very different person to what we see on television.

She said that Honey ditched her posh accent for the ITV show and insisted she is pulling a prank that she won’t be able to keep up for much longer.
