Mason Noise X Factor

If you audition for The X Factor in the hope of changing your life and becoming a hugely successful pop star worth millions of pounds, the first thing you need to do is impress the judges.

So spare a thought for show hopeful Mason Noise who may be regretting some previous comments he made about panellist Cheryl Fernandez-Versini which have come back to haunt him.

The singer performed Justin Timberlake’s Senorita during Saturday night’s show and was whisked through to boot camp, with Chezza telling him: “That’s how you do it, that’s what it’s all about.”

But less than a year ago the singer was not impressed with the former Girls Aloud star and even slammed the show that has given him a chance at success in the music industry.

In November, he tweeted: “How is Cheryl in the music business let alone a judge... #XFactorFrightNight.”

He also said the panel was “like Stevie Wonder judging a painting contest” and said the talent contest was “pointless entertainment”.

Mason is said to now be “mortified” his comments have surfaced and is hoping they don’t count against him in future stages of the competition.

An insider told The Sun on Sunday: “Mason is absolutely devastated that his messages, particularly the ones about Cheryl, have come to light after his first audition success.

“When he wrote them he had no idea that he’d be standing in front of her just a year later and is mortified about the things he said then.

“He knows full well that this could affect his chances at boot camp, especially because Cheryl was the judge so firmly in his corner before this. The other judges and the bosses won’t be happy either.

“They are incredibly proud of the show this year and have high hopes for its success. They don’t want to hear about anyone slagging it off, let along their own talent.”

Oh dear...

Super-slim Chez rocked a 60s vibe in scalloped Red Valentino, Mary-Janes and a bouffy beehive.

Caroline Flack

Fresh from crowning Max and Jess winners of Love Island Caz Flack got her (very good) legs out in a leather mini and hipster Bella Freud knit. We love this hair style on Flack, so fun.

How babe-in did Rochelle look in her orange suede Victoria Beckham dress? Expertly styled- up with a skinny black belt and strappies. Our fave.

A loud Versace mini with sequins and pointy stilettos gave Rita a totally 80s feel. That sleek high pony works, too.
