We LOVE The X Factor. We've seen artists such as One Direction, Olly Murs and Leona Lewis become international stars with it as a launching pad. But our favourite acts are often ones who don't vebe make it past the audition stage.

Here's our pick of the worst X Factor auditions ever.

Robert Unwin – Series 1 (2004)

Ahh Robert. It was so long ago but we haven't forgetten him. Frankly, he's etched in our memories forever. During his audition, when asked if he has the X Factor he said he didn't know because he wasn't sure what the X Factor was. His singing was questionable (it was more like impressions of singers) and when the judges started laughing he lost where he was in the song and begun singing the chorus…

Oh, and Simon ended up calling him useless.

Warren - Series 3 (2006)

Oh Warren, he just wouldn't take no for an answer. Literally. He kept pleading for a chance until Tony the security guard came on and escorted him out of the room. CRINGE.

Onka - Series 3 (2006)

Onka's audition is definitely a favourite of ours. He said he was as good as Michael Jackson, Daniel Bedingfield and George Michael. Look out for the moment he runs backwards towards the "wall" and drops to the floor on his knees:

Rachel – Series 4 (2007)

Rachel started her audition by stating that she doesn't have a job because she's lazy… We're all lazy love, doesn't mean we don't have a job. She then said she's a better singer than Madonna, asked for a microphone and, after singing, told the judges, "that was good wasn't it?".

Then she started verbally abusing the judges, because we all know that's how to get them on side.

Shek – Series 4 (2007)

Shek was VERY confident but didn't even know what a ballad was… Right. The audition didn't go well and Simon eventually told him to get out.

Holly Jervis – Series 5 (2008)

Holly wanted people to hear her sing. Unsure why.

When Simon Cowell described it as "looking into a cave". The judges then gave her tips on OTHER career options, watch below:

Ant and Seb – Series 5 (2008)

This duo described themselves as singing like P.Diddy and Usher, but they were no P.Diddy or Usher and were escorted from the audition room. They did have the judges crying from laughter though, so it wasn't totally bad.

David - series we're honestly not quite sure

This audition was just really odd. When asked why he was auditioning he was bluntly honest and said because of the money. He then began rapping/shouting and when Simon asked him to stop he just continued. It was pretty hilarious:

Debbie Stevens – Series 5 (2008)

This was definitely one of the strangest auditions. We're not going to lie, Debs CAN sing but her confidence definitely over powered her talent. Simon said: "I think your confidence was slightly… deluded".

That wasn't even the worst part of the audition, Louis criticised her performance too which was when she told him: "YOU CAN'T SING, YOU HAVE NO TALENT, GET OUT." Louis and Debbie then hada water fight, check it out:

Ariel Burdett – Series 5 (2008)

Oh Ariel, still to this day this confuses us. Ariel was on The X Factor back in 2008, and as soon as she walked into the audition room she threw her number badge at the judges after stating that she's not a number but a person

She went on to sing a song very strangely, then had a row with the judges and was escorted out.

Watch the clip below (the background music makes the audition 100x better):

Zoe Alexander – Series nine (2009)

Remember Pink, sorry Zoe? She looks like Pink and for two years she was a Pink tribute act. During her audition she said she wanted to find her identity but then went onto sing Pink's song So What.

She then accused the judges of making her sing a Pink song, threw her microphone, destroyed some of the equipment and her DAD came on the stage. Watch her crazy audition below:

Triple Trouble – Series nine (2009)

While talking to the judges they said that they wanted to change the stereotype of teenagers which was cute. Unfortunately their singing voices were not great and after Simon asked if they had colds because of their voices they hit back at him. One of the band members – George Gerasimou - told Simon to shut up and get off his high horse. Watch the clip below:

John Ashmore – Series 7 (2010)

John's audition was terrible but we have to love the way he encouraged everyone to dance. Bless 'im.

Hazel Jackson – Series 7 (2010)

Hazel sure was entertaining. She told the judges that her husband left her, said she had her eye on Louis Walsh, and then danced and sung in a way that gives us FEELING. WE LOVE HAZEL:

Abby/Lisa (Ablisa) – Series 7 (2010)

The pair started their audition by fangirling over the judges and then insulting them. There were a few issues on stage, the audience didn't warm to them, AND then after a pretty poor audition Abby punched Lisa on stage:

Michael Lewis - Series 7 (2010)

Michael dressed like Michael Jackson, attempted to dance like him and sang his song Rock With You. He said he wanted to spread love and magic, but obviously didn't as he didn't get through to bootcamp.

After the audience began booing him he asked: "Where's the love? Where's the love? There's so much negativity in this room it's unreal."

Michael Lewis – Series 8 (2011)

Yeah you read that right, Michael Lewis RETURNED to the X Factor stage. He said he'd learned from his previous experience but didn't really show any improvement. He started dancing and singing very oddly and when the judges said no he laid down on the stage and called the audience two faced. Right…

George Gerasimou – Series 8 (2011)

George came back to The X Factor stage after first entering in 2009 in the group Triple Trouble. He wanted people to see the real George and not the clown from 2009. But he was the EXACT same as his previous audition. He swore at the judges and called Tulisa Contostavlos scum. Eww.
