After being dumped from the villa in last night's episode, Love Island's Jonny Mitchell's deleted all his social media. Instagram, Twitter, the lot.
Jonny faced a fair amount of critisism during his time on the show; with Women's Aid CEO Polly Neate branding his behaviour with Tyla Carr 'controlling' and 'possessive.' He's since defended his comments, but probably thought it best to take a break from social media while the shitstorm settles.

Jonny's Instagram and Twitter profiles are now unavailable after he told us his comments to Tyla were 'made as a joke.' He explained: "made in extreme jest; it was very tongue-in-cheek. I was just trying to laugh about things rather than losing my head.
"Of course I didn’t mean that in the literal sense, that’d be ridiculous. I think if anything over the last few days where I did back off and give Tyla the space to think about what she wanted it shows that I’m not possessive and controlling.
"The only time that I lost my head over things was when I felt that Theo had acted in a shady way. I feel any real person would want to confront someone over that kind of thing and I did. Then, after that, I gave her space.
"So no, it’s not how I am. I’ve just got pride and like to confront people about things if it needs to be done. I don’t comment; if that’s made me look possessive then that’s how it is, but it was made as a joke"

Women's Aid had claimed Jonny's actions were unacceptable, saying: "When Jonny said that new arrival Theo would have to prise Tyla'from my cold dead hands' it was not romantic.
"It did not demonstrate how much he liked her. It was possessive and controlling. What can all too easily be passed off as banter, actually carries the underlying sentiment that this man believes he owns this woman."
