Sheridan Smith was nominated for the Leading Actress award at last night’s telly BAFTAs for her portrayal of Cilla Black in Cilla – but it’s not just Sheridan’s acting prowess that’s grabbed our attention.

Sadly, Shezza didn’t win the TV BAFTA – even though she was AMAZING in Cilla.
But it’s OK because she has brand new hair. You know when you’ve cut your hair and all you can do is play with it? That.
We’re way more used to seeing Sheridan with longer blonde hair, but we like this darker look, and cropped look is a good one, too.
Sheridan is totally knocking it out of the park right now – she’s also received critical acclaim for her acting in The C Word, a drama about cancer which has had us totally tearing up.
She told Radio Times: “I'm hoping the [show] will raise an even wider awareness, because if people haven't been affected by cancer, they might not pick the book up, but if it's on television there's a chance they'll tune in and get the message.”
