Millie Mackintosh's Coachella double braids

How to steal her plaits

She's one of our favourite Coachella fashionistas because Millie Mackintosh manages to nail carefree boho style every year. This year's palm tree-studded festival was no exception but, surprisingly, we were crushing on the ex-Made In Chelsea star's hair just as much as her wardrobe.

Millie's cute double braids with textured ends was completely on point and the perfect finish for her simple yet chic denim cut-offs and white blouse combo. Her hair 'do was created by ghd UK ambassador Zoe Irwin who has spilled the details on how we can steal her style. Even if we're not heading to Palm Springs anytime soon...

Step 1 For braids that last all day you need a good grip and hold in the hair so prep the hair with ghd root lift spray (£12.95) before blowdrying. Then add ghd smooth and finish serum (£14.95) through the mid-lengths and ends to give a polished finish at the ends.

Step 2 Split hair into a natural parting with fingers then braid from the front of the hairline with the sections braided underneath instead of on top. Braid through to the nape only.

Step 3 From the nape mix the two braids together and pin to hold in place for a soft finish.

Step 4 Create textured waves in the ends of the hair by using the ghd platinum serene pearl styler (£165). Twist the styler downwards and then carry on sliding it down the hair to get the textured wave. Alternate the waves, going one way and then the other.

Step 5 Using ghd final fix hair spray (£3.95), spray it onto fingers and then run through the ends for an undone look, then pull the braids apart with fingers to give an overall undone finish.
