Kristen Stewart has become the latest female star to shout out about sexism in Hollywood.
Joining Meryl Streep, Carey Mulligan and Patricia Arquette, who all made public statements about the lack of equality in the industry, Stewart said Hollywood was "disgustingly sexist" in an interview with Harper's Bazaar.
“Women inevitably have to work a little bit harder to be heard,” she told the magazine. “Hollywood is disgustingly sexist. It's crazy. It's so offensive it's crazy.”
And in news that will devastate Twilight fans, Stewart also talked about the difficulty of filming sex scenes with her ex-boyfriend and ex-Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson - describing them as "agony":
“I only hate (sex scenes) when they’re contrived. That’s when it’s grotesquely uncomfortable,” she said.
“On Twilight, we had to do the most epic sex scene of all time. It had to be transcendent and otherworldly, inhuman, better sex than you can possibly ever imagine. We were like, ‘How do we live up to that?’ It was agony. Which sucks, because I wanted it to be so good.”
Stewart, who announced in October she was taking a break from acting to "make stuff with her hands", also called fame "the worst thing in the world".
But it sounds like her break is off, as according to The Guardian, she's signed up for two more films.
