Ex-TOWIE star Ricky Rayment got arrested on suspicion of ABH after a scuffle in Brighton – but claims HE was the innocent party.
It all started after Ricky left a personal appearance at a club in the early hours of Sunday morning and was allegedly set upon by a group of partygoers.
When the police turned up, Ricky was put under arrest and led to the back of a police van.
But when Ricky's apparent victim refused to give a statement corroborating his versions of events, the reality star was 'de-arrested' and allowed to leave.
Ricky's friend told the Mirror that the Essex boy felt shaken after the "random attack".
A police spokesperson said: "A 25-year-old man from Chigwell in Essex was arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm following a fight with another man. Police officers on patrol were alerted to the fight around 2.25am.
"As the situation calmed, the victim of the assault declined to provide a statement and the man was de-arrested.
"He left the area immediately."
It comes after Ricky and his fiancée Marnie Simpson apparently split – although Ricky has since tweeted to say the rumours are "false".
But it came the same day as Marnie tweeted the above message, which she later said referred to her puppy being poorly.
