Celebrity Twitter fights, feuds and fails: The BEST social media blunders, from Kanye West to Donald Trump

It's embarrassing enough when your mum comments on your Facebook picture, but imagine uploading something stupid and having millions of followers to instantly pounce on it...

So we decided to make ourselves feel better about that Instagram post which struggled to get 11 likes (we’ve all been there) by having had a look at some of the celebs who made a MAJOR social media blunder. God love 'em.

Kanye West

First up and taking the early crown for the most cringeworthy moment of 2016 is Kanye West's beef with Wiz Khalifa.

Kanye - known for regularly having Twitter rants and having strong opinions - made a huge mistake when he thought Wiz Khalifa’s tweet about KK (Wiz's own brand of weed) was about Kim Kardashian.

Kanye wasted no time and went on a huge Twitter rant, insulting Wiz's career and his ex-wife Amber Rose (who Kanye previously dated).

THEN Amber hit back at Kanye letting the world know he likes a bit of bum play.

Kanye later denied it, deleted all of his Twitter rant and then apologised:

Oh Kanye.

Beyonce

Remember when the queen of curves, aka Queen B, posted this Instagram photo of herself looking amazing on a yacht?

Well a few eagle-eyed fans found some suspiciously wobbly stairs in the background.

Bey was accused of photoshopping the photo, adjusting her waist and widening her thigh gap.

Come on B, you're perfect as you are!

Kim Kardashian

Kimmy K, Insta-Queen, who even released her own selfie book, proved that she really struggles to take photos of anything but herself when on holiday in Thailand.

Apparently she couldn't find any of her own photos of the beautiful beaches so had to make do with this one from Google Images:

Maybe she was too busy with North??

Zac Efron

Zac found himself in a whole world of hate in January 2016 after he tweeted:

"I'm grateful for a couple of things today: Martin Luther King Jr & 10 million followers on IG."

And he did it on Martin Luther King Day.

Because having loads of people look at your topless selfies is exactly the same as being a black rights hero, yeah Zac?

How much effort would it have really been to post two tweets, hmm?

Especially considering he then had to apologise later in the day anyway.

Naomi Campbell

Queen of the catwalk, Naomi made a pretty serious error whilst congratulating Malala Yousafzai on becoming the youngest ever Nobel Peace Prize winner.

The thought was there, but your execution just needs a bit of work, love.

Damn autocorrect!

Donald Trump

Trump has certainly had his fair share of Twitter-based mishaps, which can only be expected from someone with such extreme views and no form of filter.

However, the would-be American president was left looking pretty foolish recently as a comedian tricked him into retweeting a picture of two serial killers, claiming they were his parents.

Oh, Donald.

Robin Thicke

You'd think a high-profile guy like Robin Thicke would take a little more care when cheating on his wife.

But he got what was coming to him when this photo surfaced, resulting in his wife leaving him.

Cheaters never prosper, Robin. Remember that.

Rita Ora

We still cringe about this one.

Rita definitely overestimated her social media popularity when she offered fans a new song in return for 100,000 retweets.

It turned out that the Twitterverse were more than content without any new music from the Hot Right Now singer, as it only racked up 2,000 RTs.

Poor Rita later deleted the tweet (probably out of embarrassment).

She tried to claim she was hacked, but we all know what happened, pet.

Bow Wow

Bow Wow took social media fails to a whole new level after his Twitter boo-boo nearly got him arrested.

The rapper somehow thought that live-tweeting his intoxicated driving in his Lamborghini was a good idea.

While the tweets didn't provide enough evidence for an arrest, it was a pretty stupid thing to do and Bow Wow later apologised to fans saying:

Drive safe Bow Wow. Drive safe.

Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan had the best intentions when she posted this positive and inspirational pic on Instagram.

It wasn't long however, until some of her Arabic-speaking fans pointed out that the phrase actually says 'donkey', leaving Lohan looking like a bit of an ass.

James Franco

Back in 2014, James Franco hit the headlines when a private conversation he had with a 17-year-old woman was released online.

No stranger to controversy, James quizzed his young fan about where she was staying and even offered to book a hotel room.

Come on James!

You know she's too young when she doesn't know that # also means number.

(We're old enough though, so holla whenevs.)

Nicola Hughes and Alex Mytton

Made in Chelsea's Nicola was obviously minding her own business, taking some holiday selfies, when her boyfriend Alex Mytton decided to ruin it.

We're not entirely sure why she thought posting the pic to Instagram was the way forward though...

Mary J Blige

The best way to show people your intelligence is through bad spelling and poor grammar, or at least in Mary J Blige's world it is.

She tweeted:

"Why is that people always try to understand estimate my intelligents?! They should never do that!"

She later addressed her mishap:

Yeah Mary, that'll teach them to never understand estimate you! (See what we did there.)

Hulk Hogan

Hollywood has had its fair share of odd families but Hulk Hogan took things to a new level when he posted this picture of his daughter's legs.

We'll prefer not to think about this too hard or we'll end up doing a sick on our nice desk.

Denise Richards

Actress and model Denise Richards cocked up BIG TIME in 2012 when she tweeted her actual, real life phone number.

Seriously, who does that?

Caroline Flack

Throwback to that nip slippy Instagram photo.

There are literally billions of people out there who have managed to not post a picture of their nipple on the internet, so we're still confused how Cazza 'accidentally' managed to do just that.

The fact that a regular Instagrammer like Caroline could make such a huge error may suggest that it wasn't actually as accidental as she claimed...

She re-uploaded the photo with a caption:

Susan Boyle

When you think of Susan Boyle, she doesn't seem like the kind of woman who would invite the whole of Twitter to join her for an anal bum party right?

Well she did in 2012.

Susan obviously didn't mean for that to be the take-home message when she was doing Twitter promo for her new record, but unfortunately the problematic hashtag #Susanalbumparty started trending for all the wrong reasons.

The event has gone down as one of the worst hashtag fails Twitter has ever seen and is still remembered years later.

Better luck next time, Susan?

Ed Balls

Last but not least, whilse trying to enter the modern age and connect to younger voters, Ed Balls found out he wasn't quite as cool as he thought by making the kind of mistake your nan would while trying to find her school friends on "that Facebook".

Remember when he tweeted his own name? Literally just his own name.

LOL.

And to mark the glorious moment, the politician has now been given his own national day to celebrate it - 28 April is Ed Balls Day for the rest of time.

Because the British really will take any excuse to celebrate...
