People need to get a life

If Celebrity Big Brother offends you, the appropriate response is to change the channel to something nicer - like TOWIE or the Olympics. If you're a particular busy body, then maybe complain to OfCom. Nothing will come of it, but you'll feel very important in the process.

An extremely inappropriate move is to SET UP A CAMPAIGN TO BAN IT. There is literally no point to this in any way at all – it will probably take up a great deal of time and effort, and it's extremely unlikely you'll reap any results in the process.

But a select few people didn't take any of this on board, as there is now an actual real life campaign to ban the show.

The campaign was started by Mediawatch-UK – who were apparently particularly furious about the episode when Marnie Simpson and Lewis Bloor GOT IT ON in the shower and Chloe Khan and Stephen Bear GOT IT ON in the loo.

They told the Daily Star (bastion of taste and remaining full clothed at all times): "If Channel 5 needs to resort to this sort of controversy to maintain any interest in Celebrity Big Brother, then perhaps the format needs to be allowed to die a bit more quietly."

Errr… it wasn't Channel 5 bonking in the toilet, MediaWatch…

They also said: "What’s most concerning here is Channel 5’s on-demand service that allows children to watch such programmes with just a box tick to say they’re old enough. Post-watershed is one thing but the internet means nudity is on the air 24 hours a day."

Big Brother should be the least of your worries with the things you can find on the internet these days, TBH.

We know a few episodes have been a tiny bit porno, and there was the whole Christopher Biggins bonanza, but BANNING IT?

Maybe we're biased, but it's bloody good tele.
