"Is it odd that no white dancers have left yet?"

Strictly Come Dancing has been plagued with controversy this series. First there was the whole dance-off drama when Anastacia was saved from elimination because of an injury resulting from her mastectomy.

AND some fans were not happy when Tameka Empson wasn’t permitted the same treatment and lost out in the second dance-off, after she revealed she had also been suffering with injuries.

THEN we had the Will Young debacle. Why did he quit? Was it because of his fight with Len Goodman? Will we EVER know the truth? (Find out tomorrow in heat magazine!)

We have SO many questions.

Now, after Melvin Odoom was the first to leave - followed by EastEnders star Tameka - newsreader Naga Munchetty is the third non-white contestant to be voted off the show after facing Anastacia in the dance-off.

And this hasn't gone unnoticed on social media.

One viewer questioned: "Is it odd that no white dancers have left yet?"

And another: "Haven’t said it until now but how racist are the strictly voters?"

However, other viewers have commented disagreeing with these accusations of racism, suggesting these contestants left purely because other dancers were better.

"I MUST be racist cos [sic] I thought Anastasia was better than Naga," one wrote.

On the night, Darcey Bussell hinted at the tough decision that faces the judges when it comes to sending someone home and maintained that the dance-off is decided on how well the dancers perform.

SShe said, "It's always incredibly difficult when it gets to this and very hard," before choosing to save Anastacia and Brendan based on their "performance value and natural artistry".

On a lighter note, Ed Balls is apparently winning the internet after his performance on Saturday night saw him voted straight through into next week's competition.

Fans took to Twitter to share their appreciation of Mr Balls.

There were calls for a knighthood.

He was named a national hero.

One viewer summed up our thoughts completely: "Ed Balls, dancing the Paso Doble, to Bonnie Tyler with a giant dragon on stage… THIS is why I pay my license fee."

We couldn’t agree more, young sir.
