The Vicky Pattison – Alex Cannon love saga has taken up a great deal of our time since the Liverpudlian hunk (Alex, not Vicky) strutted into Big Brother
So much time, in fact, that we've become kinda weirdly obsessed with the idea of these two getting it on. THEY MAKE SUCH A GREAT COUPLE, DON'T YA THINK?
When Vicky expressed her love for him on Loose Women we felt sure she was going to fall straight into his hunky arms the moment he was out the house.
And when he told us that he thought MARRIAGE WAS ON THE CARDS earlier this week, we were bloody ecstatic.
But Vicky has just shattered all our dreams. She took a major backtrack and admitted she doesn't love him after all. Oh. Right. Cool.
While appearing on the Radio 1 Breakfast Show this morning, she admitted that she's ruled out ever getting with Alex.
She said: "Turns out I don't really love him. He's so amazing, he's so brilliant… I think we’ve friend-zoned each other, it's mutual."
FFS.
We prob should've guessed, TBH. Earlier this week Alex told us directly that he wasn't going to be putting pressure on their friendship any time soon.
He said: "We're just literally the best of friends. I love her to bits… I've never been that close to a girl in my life so to make that decision and go and do that would be a game changer. We're happy as we are now and I love her to bits and she says she loves me.
"If it happens it happens. If it doesn't it doesn’t. Obviously she's in my life, I'm happy."
